Who We Are
The College Cryptocurrency Network (CCN) began as a way to connect student Bitcoin clubs across universities. Founded by Jeremy Gardner, Daniel Bloch, and others at the University of Michigan, it quickly evolved into a global movement.
Within ten months, it expanded to 160+ chapters in 35+ countries, rebranding as the Blockchain Education Network (BEN) to support blockchain education.
BEN became a launchpad for future leaders, with alumni founding billion-dollar projects like IOTA, Optimism, Bitso, Augur, and Injective, as well as other industry-shaping ventures including Wanchain, Notional Finance, Roll, and GDA Capital, collectively exceeding $20 billion in peak valuations.
Today, this vision continues through Dropout Capital, investing in top founders across blockchain, fintech, AI, and emerging tech.

Jeremy Gardner
Jeremy, co-founder of Augur, the first Ethereum ICO, utility token. Launched Ausum Ventures, a venture-hedge fund returns before buying out his LPs in 2021, with 5x returns. An early investor in over 100 startups, Jeremy continues to drive innovation in digital assets and emerging technologies.

Sofia Kerekes
Sofia, an economics graduate from Eötvös Loránd University, brings her experience from Morgan Stanley to bridge the gap between traditional finance and blockchain innovation.
Erick Pinos
General Partner
Erick is the Ecosystem Lead at Nibiru and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management from MIT. He served as President of the MIT Bitcoin Club and conducted research with the MIT Digital Currency Initiative.
